IT Support Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

Scheffel Boyle CPA’s has an immediate opening for an IT Support Specialist. This position will support our offices located in Alton, Edwardsville, Belleville, Highland, Jerseyville, Columbia, and Carrollton. This position offers the opportunity of working for one of the most prominent local firms in our area. With 7 offices and over 100 professionals, we are recognized as the largest locally owned accounting firm in Southwestern Illinois and are proud to be a household name in the communities we serve.

Job Requirements

• 2 year degree or equivalent work experience; BS/ BA in Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field is a plus.
• Assist in day-to-day network operations, analysis and basic troubleshooting skills needed
• Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, routing and switching
• Troubleshoot and resolve helpdesk trouble tickets and tasks as assigned
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate independently and with others
• Motivated individual with a desire to learn and implement the fundamentals of IT
• General and working knowledge of servers and operating systems
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems
• Familiar with industry standard information security best practices
• Familiar with network cabling standards and technologies
• Computer repair experience a plus
• Previous Desktop/Helpdesk Support
• Experience with active directory
• Some local travel may be required

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability
